Giftcards are fun to give and receive. So what do you do with the plastic card after you have a $0 balance left on the card? Sure, some cards are rechargeable. But how many of us are really going to pay to recharge the card at the time we run the balance to zero? The fun of using a giftcard is not having to pay for the shopping spree in the first place! Half the time the clerk at the cash register keeps the card to throw away anyway. (Hopefully they are going to recycle it!)
